and people on the cutting edge of technical society. The IEEE is the largest
technical professional society in the world, founded in 1884. A network of
working engineers, engineering technologists, students, scientists, and
professors.
National
Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT)
~Students can become members in the student division of NAIT where annual
membership is $15.00 (national) and $5.00 (local). NAIT offers many services to
its members such as; the NAIT journal (JIT), certification information, special
rates to attend annual convention meetings and valuable networking
opportunities. The three professional divisions of NAIT are, the University
Division, Industry and the Community College Division.
Society of
Manufacturing Engineering (SME)
~Advances knowledge about manufacturing engineering and industrial
technology, encourages the bridging of academic responsibility with industrial
application and promotes the professional development of its student members.
Epsilon Pi Tau
~Membership is open to students, teachers, and administrators of Technology
Education, and executives from industry. Undergraduate members are selected from
the top 10% of the junior and senior classes. Epsilon Pi Tau has 85 chapters
located at Colleges and Universities and 13 Field Chapters distributed
strategically through out the Universities States and several foreign countries.

~The fundamental purpose of Sigma Lambda Chi is the recognition of
outstanding students in construction. The objectives of Iota - 3 includes: the
rendering of service to the field of construction, the development of good
