Welcome to the Humanities Program Web PageThis site is primarily aimed at students and their advisers. It contains information about the Faculty who teach Humanities 1, Humanities 2, and Humanities 3, what they assign in their classes, how large (or small) a given section may be, the building where that class meets, the times, etc. The schedule of classes for Fall 2008 is now posted. We have also posted a Goals statement that states the purposes of the three Humanities courses and what we expect students to get out of taking these classes. There is also a list of members of the Committee that oversees the program. Some faculty members have their own websites. You can find photos of most of the faculty, along with links to their websites (where available) through the Faculty page. Note that, starting fall 2004, you no longer have to take two four-hour courses to fulfill your Liberal Arts Core requirements. You now may choose any two (out of three) three-hour courses to fulfill that requirement. Hyperlinks at the bottom of this page provide Resources for faculty members, and links to the Humanities Major, the Liberal Arts Core, and UNI home pages.
