Research

Every honors student has the opportunity to complete undergraduate research during their time at UNI by writing a thesis. Students work with faculty members in their major or area of interest to develop and conduct a study during either their Junior or Senior year.

Doing research can open up a lot of doors. It allows you to gain valuable skills, begin thinking and working like a scientist, confirm your career plans, enhance your ability to think critically and creatively, work with setbacks and ambiguity, understand where knowledge comes from, and establish personal and professional goals.
