Nadyne Harris Scholarship for Honors Travel

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Nadyne Harris Scholarship for Honors Travel provides funding to students in the University Honors Program who are traveling for academic purposes.  Examples of academic travel include National Student Exchange and any variety of study abroad programs.  The travel must result in earned academic credit accepted by the University of Northern Iowa and designated for Honors credit by the University Honors Program.  The maximum award is $500; award amounts will vary depending on the number of applicants and the funds available. 

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must be:

• Members in good academic standing of the University Honors Program
• Majors in the College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences or the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (due to donor restrictions)
• Accepted, or in the application process, for an academic travel program with a component approved for Honors credit.  Proof of acceptance/enrollment is required before an award can be credited.

While there are two review periods each year, it is recommended that students apply as soon as they decide to travel because funding is limited.  Send or deliver your completed application to the following address:
