Festival

Last year's Festival was a success with many student organizations participating along with community businesses. The Festival was located in the large field at 23rd and College and included the homecomingfollowing:

  • Vendors from around the community, selling food and other goods.
  • Inflatable games.
  • A “Panther Zone” that  showcased Panther Athletics. There were games, appearances by many student athletes, appearances by the UNI Spirit Squads and Marching Band, and an autograph signing.
  • A “virtual parade” – a parade in which the people move and the floats are stationary. Floats were constructed as they have in the past, and then parked along a walkway where they could be viewed.
  • Student information tables – for organizations that would traditionally not make a float, but instead walk in the parade. The organizations could have an area where to set-up a small display and hand out materials, candy, etc.
