Homecoming Competition
All Registered Student Organizations, Fraternities and Sororities and Residence Halls will have the opportunity to compete throughout Homecoming week for a chance to display their Panther spirit and win cash prizes for their teams. Teams must register on the Homecoming website between September 17th and October 3rd in order to compete in any part of the Homecoming Competition. A team captain from each registered team must attend the homecoming team captain meeting on Wednesday October 3rd at 5pm in the Elm Room, located in the basement of Maucker Union.
Registration:
With your online team registration you will be registering for specific events that require pre-registration. If you do not pre-register your team online, your team will not be able to compete in that event. Other events are based on attendance the night of the event and will not require pre-registration. In order to keep track of attendance at events teams will need to sign in at the Team Competition Sign in table.
Homecoming Competition Divisions
U Division- Groups of students that have 10-25 students. The croup can consist of up to two Greek groups, RSO groups, Res life groups or a combination can unite together to form a homecoming team.
N Division- Groups of students that have 26-45 students. The group can consist of up to two Greek groups, RSO groups, Res life groups or a combination can unite together to form a homecoming team.
I Division- Groups of students that have 46+ students. The group can consist of up to two Greek groups, RSO groups, Res Life groups or a combination can unite together to form a homecoming team.
Point System
Specific events throughout Homecoming Week are designated as competition events for teams to compete in. Points are awarded for registration for some events, attendance for some events, and first second and third place for other events. Overall Homecoming first, second and third place will be awarded to an individual team based on the total amount of points awarded overall; NOT a first, second and third within each division.
Homecoming competition events include the following:
