Sunday, Sept. 11 Flag Planting

UNI faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to join the Northern Iowa Student Government for a Flag Planting Remembrance between 8 a.m. and noon, Sept. 11, on Lawther Field. Individuals are invited to plant a flag in memory of each person who lost their life on 9/11. 

A moment of silence will be held at 8:37 a.m., 8:59 a.m., 9:03 a.m. and 9:28 a.m. (all CST), to commemorate the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers, and the crashes at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.
