The Center for Disability Studies in Literacy, Language and Learning is an interdisciplinary effort that explores, promotes, and supports the literacy and communication development of children with significant disabilities through effective, education-based practices.

Reading Recovery Center (RRC)
Reading Recovery is a highly effective short-term intervention of one-to-one tutoring for low-achieving first grade students.
Provides an interdisciplinary research, education and outreach center serving Regent university researchers and students, Iowa citizens, business, and industry. The RRTTC’s goals include the development of economical approaches to solving intractable solid waste problems and providing research and technical assistance on public health concerns as they relate to solid waste concerns.
Focuses on improving early childhood education in Iowa and supports educational efforts that emphasize children’s interest, experimentation, and cooperation.
Offers technical, financial, and support services through classes, counseling, and a business resource library for Northeast Iowa entrepreneurs.
Initiates, supports, and coordinates activities that relate weather information and conceptual models of the atmosphere to user communities in Iowa and the Midwest.

Provides individual and group lessons for over 200 children studying the violin, viola, cello, string bass, flute, and harp. The School also provides an adult string program and hosts numerous recitals and performances.
