DESCRIPTION
While in Yucatan, UNI students will have the opportunity to visit workplace settings and interview professionals who are working in fields related to the students' areas of study and career interest. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to tour businesses, organizations, and educational institutions that will give them an overview of the educational and socioeconomic structure of the area. Finally, students will participate in organized tours to areas of cultural and historical interest relevant to the Yucatan Peninsula. Students will stay with local families to increase their cultural awareness through personal interactions.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
The main goal of the program is to give students the opportunity to observe various organizational settings, acquire an overview of business, social, educational, and health practices in Yucatan, enhance their global understanding using the profession/occupational field as a vehicle, and experience the environment and society.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
· Journal
· Final paper
· Participation in pre-departure workshops and de-briefing meeting

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
*Senior or graduate status
*Instructor's consent

The student's application should include:
· Application Form
·Resume
· A copy of the most recent transcript (student copy will be fine)
· A $100 non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be credited toward the total cost of the program
