Mostar Sevdah Reunion formed in the mid-90s as a way to forget violence and suffering during the Bosnian War.  Using modern instruments, musicians from Bosnia celebrate and explore the improvised style of Sevdah, meaning love or desire.  The performance introduces this form, with sounds of accordion, violin, guitar, and voice.  The diverse musicians have never performed two identical gigs in a row, which makes this ensemble unique on the World Music scene.
