St. Louis Grammar school in Ibadan. It is a girls school. Class sizes run about 70 students per class. Due to the large class sizes students are addressed as "that gir" or "yes".

St. Louis Grammar school boarding area for those who live too far from the school. 3,300 students attend this school of which 100 are boarders.

 

A teacher with some of the students at the St. Louis Grammer school. All girls must have short hair. When they allowed long hair it was a distraction to learning because they were braiding.

 

A math class at the St. Louis Grammar School. Teachers have only chalkboards and chalk as teaching tools. Students must purchase their own textbooks, but many can't afford texts so they must do without.

Teachers had not been paid for months so students were showing their support by carrying protest signs.
