National Geographic Bee
Schools with students in grades 4-8 in the United States are eligible to
participate in this annual competition. Principals can find out how to
register their schools by going to: www.nationalgeographic.com/geographicbee.
Schools that register by the deadline to conduct a school level Bee, receive all
of the contest materials and information they need. The school contest,
with a minimum of six students participating, produces one school winner.
That one school Bee winner takes a qualifying test to determine the top 100
scoring students in each state who are invited to the state level Bees.
The winner of the (insert state name here) Bee represents (state name) at
the national finals in Washington, DC. Check with your school to see if
they participate in this annual event. Registration normally ends October
15 every year, the deadline is sometimes extended, so check with the
website if it is after October 15 and you have not yet registered.
