Marigold Garland Instructions

Materials:
1. About 3 ft. of string per garland
2. One large needle per participant (big enough to get string through)
3. Tons of orange tissue paper - we went though about 10 small packages
4. Red and White tissue paper - we added some red flowers and jasmine
5.  Straws, cut into 1-1.5 inch pieces (for spacing)
6.  Scissors

Directions:
1.  Cut all tissue paper into 1-2 inch squares.
2.  Stack approximately 3-4 tissue squares together, fold the papers into fourths, round off corners.
3.  Thread the needle.
4.  Take a stack of tissue squares (already folded and rounded), pierce needle through paper, thread onto       string.
5.  Every few 'marigolds', place a straw as a spacer.  Come up with a pattern that you like.
6.  Continue until garland is desired length, tie off to make necklace.
7.  "Fluff' flowers to make them appear more realistic.
