Students will learn about the importance of conserving natural areas where wildlife can flourish, and design a natural habitat for the school grounds.

Students will be able to see how often and how much they use water, and understand the importance of water conservation.

Students will be able to understand the importance of green spaces, locate and map the green spaces near their school, and predict the impact of population growth in their region on green spaces.

Through the process of researching one of the sanctuaries, then writing a poem about it students will better understand the role marine sanctuaries play in conservation of oceans.
