Loans
If you have borrowed loans previously at other schools you will want
to complete deferment paperwork to ensure that previous loans do not
go into repayment after you transfer. Deferment forms can be obtained
within the UNI Financial Aid Office. UNI utilizes the Federal Stafford
Direct Loan program.
If accepting a loan, promissory notes must be completed, signed, and
returned to activate the receipt of loan funds.
If a student has never borrowed loans at UNI before, they will need
to complete Direct Loan
promissory notes and entrance
counseling. The amount of loan funding you qualify for
depends on the disbursement of aid at your prior institution. Please
contact the UNI Financial Aid Office with questions.
