WEEK 12

Please spend this week working on your Visual Rhetoric paper. I'm looking forward to reading them.

Take notes on this week's readings and please come prepared to talk about the visualization of data, but don't prepare a formal paper (I'd prefer you focus on the longer paper). Edward Tufte, who is the "king" of data visualization analysis, out of Yale University, is a wonderful writer who puts data in a comprehensive, historical perspective. You'll also enjoy the Kostelnick, whose essay (also historical!) is printed in the "defining" book on visual rhetoric, "Defining Visual Rhetoric" (2004) by Hill and Helmers.
