• Mentee is an inexperienced person who looks to a more experienced person for advice, role modeling, academic support, and encouragement.

• A person who seeks to improve her/his overall academic achievement or to develop the necessary skills to enter or continue on an educational or career path in an individualized, structured relationship.

• Someone who seeks guidance for decision-making in a relationship that is not being assessed.
