WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

•  Expose students to careers in math, science and related fields

    opportunities in math and science or related fields.
•  Promote students’ awareness of the possibility of furthering their education

    beyond high school.
•  Help students become more aware of their self-worth, uniqueness, culture

    and individual creativity.
•  Orient students toward the real value of education, personal growth and

    satisfaction.
•  Strengthen fundamental learning and analytical skills (writing, science and

    mathematics).
•  Involve students in planning and carrying out various aspects of the

    program.
•  Inform students of the requirements of higher education and assist them

    in acquiring the pre-requisites.
•  Offer students a helpful and realistic picture of the entire college experience

    and life beyond high school.
•  Raise the motivational level of students educationally and personally.
