Hello!

If you are a newly enrolled scholar in the Upward Bound and participating in the summer residential program, welcome to the program! If you are a current Upward Bound scholar participating in the summer residential program, we are most certainly happy and proud that you are returning for yet another great summer program.

As you know the summer 2012 program begins June 3, 2012 and ends July 13, 2012. Because of this upcoming date we have designated times for summer orientation for the summer residential program. The date for current Upward Bound scholars, those who have participated in a summer residential component prior to this year, was May 10, 2012.

Newly admitted students into the program, your orientation is Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 4:30 at the UNICUE for those of you who need to take standardized tests. These tests will last an hour and a half with the orientation component to follow. Tests will begin at 4:30. During the orientation, Upward Bound program staff will introduce you to the program, important dates to remember, guide you through important paperwork that must be filled out, and go over rules and regulations that are in place during the residential program.

Remember, this is Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the UNICUE. If you missed the May 10 orientation there will be a make-up orientation Wednesday, May 16, from 1:30 P.M.-2:30 P.M.
