The Writing Center is a service designed to help students become better writers, both in the classroom and when they leave for professional careers. To achieve this goal, writers work one-on-one with trained writing assistants in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment.

The Writing Center offers FREE assistance with writing for:
- ALL UNI students,
- ALL majors,
- ALL academic and skill levels.
Trained Writing Assistants help by:
- Listening to students' concerns;
- Offering second opinions, feedback, and suggestions;
- Helping students identify problems with organization, focus, clarity, grammar, etc;
- Offering strategies for long-term improvement of all writing skills.
