Fiction in a Flash

Call it what you will: flash fiction, microfiction, smokelongs (stories that you can read in the time it takes to smoke a cigarette). Each story in these thematically grouped collections is under 750 words. So, take a break and read. You deserve it.

These projects are the work of students in the University of Northern Iowa's Spring 2004 Beginning Fiction Writing class. If you have comments on the project as a whole, please click on my name below and let me know. Some of these stories have adult themes or language, so don't be a prude.

Thanks for reading,
Jim O'Loughlin
