Letter from Bill Waack:
Update (2-9-04) to Bill's letter:
"If
you plan to contribute to the feedback column in the newsletter, please submit
as soon as possible. It is necessary for me to move the
deadline to Friday, February 18, rather than Monday, February 21. (Limit
your commentary to 150 words or less.)"
Dear UNIEA Colleague:
It’s that time again! I am beginning
to assemble the 2005 UNIEA News, and, as in past issues, we shall be
printing Feedback from Members, one of the popular continuing columns.
This is a special invitation to you to be a contributor.
Writing for Feedback is an easy
task that you can complete in a relatively short time. Simply prepare a
message (150 words maximum) for your UNIEA colleagues in which you share the
latest news about your life since retirement. You may respond by e-mail or by
letter.
According to my count, more than 100 of
you have contributed to Feedback since 1997. That is an excellent
record! However, just because you already have written for the column in the
past doesn’t mean that you cannot contribute again. . .and again. . .and
again! If you are a new UNIEA member, please consider this memo as a special
invitation to share your first year retirement experiences.
Thank you for your assistance in
helping to create the next issue of the UNIEA News. In order to assure
publication in late March, I shall need to hear from you on or before Monday,
February 21, 2005.
Best wishes,
Bill Waack, Editor

Message from Bill Waack,
newly-appointed editor of the UNIEA
News:
I have just been appointed as the new editor of the UNIEA
newsletter and am starting to work on the spring issue. Since spring already is
here, I shall be working under some time constraints and will greatly appreciate
your understanding and prompt response to this communication.
According to Tom Ryan, "Feedback from Members" appears to
be one of the most interest provoking sections of the annual newsletter. He also
remarked that the column has been one of the most satisfying parts of the
publication for him as editor. Needless to say, with your help, it will continue
to be a major part of the publication.
Therefore, you are cordially invited to share some of your
experiences since retirement in a short (100-250 words) essay for the Spring
2003 issue of the only publication that every member of the UNIEA has an
opportunity to read. You may respond by e-mail (william.waack@uni.edu).
According to my count, over 82 of you have contributed to "Feedback" since 1997.
That’s a great record! Just because your have written for the column in the past
doesn’t mean that you can’t contribute again, and again, and again.
Thank you for your assistance in helping to create the next
issue of the UNIEA News. In order to assure publication in late April, I
shall need to hear from you on or before Friday, April 11, 2003.
