New Login Block

A new login block was created on the UNI eLearning homepage to better channel users via the best authentication method. UNI and Camp Adventure users will login via the Central Authentication System (CAS) login page; the same login page for MyUNIverse and UNI Email. The benefit will be that if your CatID passphrase has expired, you will be prompted to change it. Allen College and NPPS users will login via the UNI eLearning login page as normal.

Faculty Development: "Turn It In" as a teaching and grading tool

Two of the most common faculty complaints are that "students don't understand plagiarism and how to avoid it" and that "grading papers is too time consuming". Faculty are invited to a professional development session from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM., Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in the Center for Multicultural Education (CME). Jason Vetter, educational technology, and Susan Hill, philsophy & world religions, will highlight turnitin, a tool to teach students about plagiarism and tips for grading papers efficiently.

Spotlight on STEM Day - Friday, March 1, 2013

The Spotlight on STEM Day will take place from 9:00 AM  to 4:00 PM, Friday, March 1, 2013 in the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center (ITTC) buiding. The day is dedicated to the presentation of award-winning pre-K through 12 earth science, inquiry and/or math-based classroom projects. The Spotlight Gallery (table displays) are 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM in the ITTC Student Lounge. Spotlight Presentations are 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM in the ITTC's StudioITs. The maintenance for the UNI eLearning and CatID database hosts were successfully completed by 5:30 AM CST and access to the UNI eLearning System was returned at 6:30 AM CST.
