Extended outage of the UNI eLearning Systems - Saturday, February 25, 2012 (Completed)

As part of the already announced Cat-ID Authenticated Services Outage (http://www.uni.edu/its/alerts/maintenance/2012-02-25/cat-id-authenticated-services-outage), an extended outage of both versions of the UNI eLearning System will occur Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 4:30 AM CST to 7:30 AM CST.

A brief outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Thursday, February 09, 2012 from 6:30 AM CST to 7:00 AM CST.

This outage is necessary to make another timeout setting change in an application file.

The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

UNI eLearning System Maintenance - Wednesday, February 08, 2012 (Completed)

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Wednesday, February 08, 2012 from 6:00 AM CST to 7:00 AM CST.

This outage is necessary to make changes to timeout settings in a few application system files.

The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

UNI eLearning System Maintenance - Wednesday, February 01, 2012 (Completed)

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Wednesday, February 01, 2012 from 6:00 AM CST to 7:00 AM CST.

This outage is necessary to install Linux Kernel patches on the application servers and modify a few minor settings on the application servers and database server.

The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

Annoucement tool's email feature - Known Issue/Bug (Instructors only)

eLearning Instructors:
There is a known bug with the "Send a copy of this announcement immediately" feature of the announcement tool. Instructors that check the box next to "Send a copy of this announcement immediately" and then click the "Submit" button will get the following error: NOTIFIED_PENDING_DIGEST

UNI Faculty: How to make your eLearning course available to students

UNI Faculty:
UNI eLearning courses are created in an "unavailable" state. This means an instructor has access to the course, but students do not see the course listed in their My Courses module until instructors make the course available.

If you have an eLearning component and would like student to have access to it, please follow the instructions published at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/how-do-i-make-my-bb-learn-9-courses-available-students . No action is required for instructors that choose not to use the UNI eLearning system.

Login instructions are located at: http://www.uni.edu/elearning/login-instructions-all-uni-users  Your username and password for UNI eLearning is set to your CatID. Use the same username and password you use for UNI Email and MyUNIverse.

An outage of the UNI eLearning System will occur Wednesday, January 04, 2012 from 6:30 AM CST to 7:00 AM CST.

This outage is necessary to install a patch to fix the issue of the Course Dashboard's "To Do" module not displaying all tests and assignments with assigned due dates.

The Bb Learn 9 eLearning System will not be available during this period.

Spring 2012 eLearning courses populated with students

Spring 2012 eLearning academic courses were populated with students at 8:00 AM this morning, Saturday, December 31, 2011. Spring 2012 student enrollment will be imported into the UNI eLearning System daily, so all enrollment changes (adds/drops) will be automatically processed.

Faculty: There's still time to register and attend the Faculty Focus Workshops

The workshops will be offered Tuesday, January 3, 2012 through Friday, January 6, 2012. Workshops address various Bb Learn 9 features and numerous other instructional technologies.
