    • Rock bags/tackle boxes for rocks and minerals
    • Geostore - field equipment and other stuff for sale
    • Clothing sales (cool t-shirts, hats, sweaters)

    • Silent Auctions
    • Candy and Pop/Soda sales
    • Ask SGE alums for support/funds
    • Funding from industry/private sector for events
    • Student organization general funds
  • Out-reach Activities
    • Tutoring
    • Adopt-a-Highway
    • Recycling programs/events
    • Invite alums and all majors to an event/conference - here's one from Indiana University
    • Pair with other campus organizations for events
    • Short courses/teaching sessions on computer programs (Excel, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
    • Trips/short courses about Superfund sites
    • Scholarship fund (to help SGE members attend scientific meetings)
    • Visit middle and elementary schools to talk about geoscience
