I began downhill skiing when i was 10 years old. My family and I would take only a few skiing trips a year, and they were never to anywhere that great, usually just up to Minnesota. I found skiing to be a pretty good time and my friends and I had a blast as kids racing down the hills. Soon though after about 6 years of the same old thing, I began to want more a a challenge. That challenge was snowboaring. I was very bad at it at first, it was like the exact opposite of skiing. After many falls and many bruised muscles I finally began to get the hang of it. I have been snowboarding since i was 16, and now at age 22 I still have a long way to go before I can call myself a good boarder. Once again, living in Iowa has kind of held me back from refining my hobby.

Up until last year I have had to rent snowboards, and it really gets quite spendy, so i finally realized that buying a board would make more sense, though they are not cheap. I bought a 163cm M3 Convoy, with Ride bindings and DC boots. I was kind of a bummer though because I bought it at the end of the season last year and only got to ride it once before the snow melted...that is why I am happy to say that in just three weeks from now 12/05/06, I will be taking my first of hopefully many trips to Colorado. I am so very excited to hit a run that last more then 30 seconds, which is what I am used to. Three other friends and I are heading out on the 11 hour drive on December 28 and staying out there until the 3 of January. We Plan on hitting Keystone, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain, and I will Hopefully have tons of great photos and maybe some footage of our trip up on here when I return
