In fall of 2008, a gerontology minor will be available at UNI, pending approval. The requirements will be the same as the current gerontology certificate.

Psychology: 400:173*.
Health Promotion and Education: 410:125.
Sociology: 980:125*.

select two of the following Humanities and Physical/Health Sciences courses:

*Prerequisites for these courses are as follows:

Prerequisite for 31F:150 (31F:020; 200:030 or 31F:055 or 400:120; 3 hours social science research methods)

Prerequisite for 400:120 and 400:173 ( 400:001 or equivalent).  400:001 may be used to satisfy Category 5B of the Liberal Arts Core.

Prerequisite for 980:125 ( 980:001).  980:001 may be used to satisfy Category 5A of the Liberal Arts Core.

Prerequisite for 31F:055 ( 400:001 or consent of instructor).  400:001 may be used to satisfy Category 5B of the Liberal Arts Core.
