Conference Housing

The University of Northern Iowa Department of Residence provides housing and dining for conferences, camps and academic programs for participants of all ages May through the beginning of August.

We offer groups:

  • Rooms in on-campus residence halls and apartments that can accommodate up to 700 guests per hall
  • Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms
  • Linen service
  • Cable tv, internet access, computer labs
  • On-campus locations within walking distance to dining, classrooms and recreation facilities
  • Meeting rooms
  • Personalized plans to meet group needs

Registration opens in January and runs through mid-March. If space is available, smaller groups may be scheduled later than March.

Accomodations

Noehren Hall

Noehren Hall is a traditional residence hall on the south side of campus. It is connected to the Piazza, one of our two dining centers and is a short walk to academic buildings and Maucker Union. Noehren Hall has both single and double occupancy rooms available. Rooms are furnished with beds, desks and chairs, dressers, closets and a sink. Linen service is provided and includes sheets, pillow, blanket and two towels. The rooms in Noehren Hall are not air conditioned, however it does have lounges on each floor which are air conditioned. Laundry facilities, a recreational room and kitchen area are located on the ground floor.

The Noehren Hall Office is open Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday, Noon to 10:00 p.m. You can reach the hall office by calling 319-273-2229. If you arrive outside of normal hours, the on-call Summer Conference Assistant is available by calling 319-464-5229. Summer Conference Assistants are on-call overnight to assist guests. 

Panther Village

Panther Village is a non-traditional residence hall, featuring single bedroom apartments and is the newest addition to campus. Rooms are situated within 2 or 4 bedroom apartments and are furnished with a bed, desk and chair, dresser and a closet. Linen service is provided and includes sheets, pillow, blanket and two towels. Rooms in Panther Village are air-conditioned. The lobby area includes a workout room, study areas and a television area. Laundry facilities are located on each level.

The Panther Village Office is open Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can reach the office by calling 319-273-7894. If you arrive outside of these hours, the Resident Assistant on-call is available by calling 319-464-2592. Resident Assistants are on-call overnight to assist guests.
