Organizations & Involvement
Belonging to your community is vital to your success at UNI. In this section find out about some of the many opportunities available for you to get involved and make a difference.
Houses
There are 8-13 houses in each of the nine residence halls. Approximately 45 residents share the common areas of bathroom facilities, hallway and usually a lounge area.
Hall Senates
Each hall has a senate. These groups serve as representative governing bodies for students in each hall. They are made up of two senators from each house and executives, elected hall-wide.
Residence Leadership Council
The ten hall government presidents and several other key leaders in the residence system serve on the Residence Leadership Council.
National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)
This organization provides recognition for those individuals living in residence halls who have been of outstanding service and who have provided important leadership in the advancement of the residence hall system as well as to promote leadership qualities in residents.
