Goals for living environments housing only first year students include: (1) enhance entering students' transition to UNI; (2) create peer reference groups; (3) encourage group identity development; (4) provide an integrated learning experience for first year students by connecting faculty, students, academic disciplines, and campus experiences; and (5) enhance students' academic and social success.

Students who are in good academic and behavioral standing with the University and who are classified as sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate students, may contract for a single or double room in these upperclass houses. First year students will not be assigned to these houses.
