Served Dinners

We know you’ll enjoy some of our favorite menus. They can be changed of course, but some things do not complement each other well, so we reserve the right to limit menu changes. Once we talk with you about your event, we may have suggestions to make it even more unique. You may wish to offer your guests a reception as they gather before dinner or add a soup or appetizer course to make the dinner more formal.

The entrée plate has been created to provide for complementary flavors and aesthetic presentation of the plate. Changes to the designed entrée plate may be made for an additional cost and are subject to the approval of the chef.

Special diets and vegetarian diets will be accommodated. Just let us know, how many and what kind of diet is needed. The selection of items for these guests will be made by the chef.

If you would like to offer a choice of two entrees to your guests, all of the side dishes and accompaniments will be the same for all guests. The event planner will determine the appropriate complementary foods for the entrees selected. The highest price of the two entrees selected will determine the price for all guests, with a minimum of an additional $2.00 per person charged in the event that the two entrees are similar in price range.

All dinners include coffee, hot tea, and iced tea.

The pricing includes tablecloths, napkins, china, silverware, glassware and service for your event. Events held outside of Commons for B and C groups are subject to a 5 % service fee.

Decorating the Space

The following are guidelines for decoration of the space in the Commons.

  1. We can order colored table linens, chair covers and sashes or you can bring in your own.
  2. Open flames are not allowed. All candles must be enclosed with glass. Votive candles and candles in hurricanes are allowed. We can provide the votive candles and tea lights with holders.
  3. No glitter or confetti.
  4. No taping on the walls or painted surfaces (including fireplace mantles).
  5. Decorations may be hung with monofilament from the balconies.
  6. Artificial flower petals may be used in the lounge on the floor (no real flower petals) or can be used on the tables. Real petals can stain the floor or tablecloth. No flowers on the floor in the ballroom.
  7. Decoration of the spaces can begin at 8:00 a.m. the day of the event.
  8. Mirror tiles can be rented from UNI.
  9. Fireplace mantles can be decorated.
  10. Free standing decorations can be used, however no doors may be blocked.
  11. Windowsills in the ballroom can be decorated.
  12. The windows in the ballroom or lounge cannot be covered.
  13. Low tables in the lounge can be used for décor.


Billing and Fees

One half of the estimated bill is due 30 days before event and the remainder in full is due at the end of the event.

  • 4x8 Risers - $12.00 includes stairs
  • Podium/Microphone - $20.00
  • TV/VCR - $10.00
  • Projector - $80.00
  • Screen - $20.00
  • Chair - $15.00/25 chairs
  • Table - $15.00 per table
  • Mirror Tiles - $1.00 per tile.
  • Votive Candles and Tea Lights with Holder - $0.40 each
  • Event Planner - $200.00 per additional hour beyond two (2) hours
  • In House Table Cloth - $3.75 per additional table cloth
  • Special Order Table Linens (chair covers, sashes, tablecloths, runners, napkins, etc.) - cost + 10 %
  • Bar Minimum - $75.00 per hour
  • Keg Fee - $175.00 per keg
  • Chef Fee - $150.00 per hour for carving/display cooking
  • Ice Sculpture - $300.00 per sculpture
  • 5 % service fee will be applied to total bill of all events for B & C groups


Extended Hours Service

  • Events lasting longer than 4 hours from the arrival of the first guests for the reception to the departure of the last guest will be charged $125.00 per hour.
After Midnight
  • In the event that we are able to accommodate an extension to the time frames listed above, a service fee of up to $300 per hour will apply based on the space contracted.
