Bartlett Hall is close to academic buildings. Resident Assistants are on call in Bartlett Hall overnight to assist participants when needed. Place a room request at least one week in advance. Space is reserved on a first come, first served basis.
Hall Features
Bartlett Hall has single and double rooms that are furnished with beds, desks, dressers, closets, and a sink. Linen service includes sheets, pillow, blanket, and two towels. Every room in Bartlett Hall is air-conditioned. There is a recreation room for relaxing and watching television. A laundry room and a kitchen facility are located on the ground level.
The Bartlett Hall Office is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday; 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Friday; and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday and sunday. The office phone number is (319) 273-2671. If you arrive outside of these hours, the Resident Assistant staff on-call is available to assist you by calling (319) 464-2592.
Room Rate Information
Participants may request a single room at Bartlett Hall for $24.00 per day. If a double room is requested, the cost is $20.00 per day/per person. Single rooms are available in limited numbers. Contracts should be submitted early to ensure consideration for these spaces and the facility requested. Room rates will be billed beginning with the first day of the workshop and ending with the last night of lodging. Because of limited housing opportunities, children and/or spouses of workshop participants cannot be accommodated at Bartlett Hall.
Billing Information
You will be billed for room and/or board after the end of your workshop. This bill will be sent to your home address and payment should be submitted to the University Business Operations Office. However, if you are a university student, the bill will be processed to your U-bill.
Let's Eat!
During the summer of 2009, meal service will be available at the Rialto in Towers Center and Chats at Maucker Union.
Parking
Workshop participants can obtain parking permits at University Police Parking Division, 30 Gilchrist, (319) 273-2712. These permits allow you to park in a lot near Bartlett Hall, or in any other 'C' lot on campus.
