Welcome to The Gaming Den. This site is dedicated to everything video games. Whether you are an adamantly hardcore oldschool gamer who refuses to trade in your Atari 2600 or are just beginning to play video games on the Nintendo Wii, this will provide you plenty of knowledge on home consoles. Although not every home console is on here, and no handheld portable consoles are on here (but will very soon!), you will find in here a number of significant consoles based on:
- Generation: The age and "era" of gaming they were a part of based on performance, design, and competition.
- Innovation: What new ideas and trends they brought to the industry.
- Success and failure: How well or badly they did and why.
- Other: Oddball designs, "Killer App" games, etc.
