This academic year, there has been an increase in activity and engagement among student organizations interested in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students at UNI.  We have already had some wonderful events and speakers, and we look forward to several other programs this year.  Unfortunately, the posters and fliers advertising events, organization meetings, and activities of some of these student organizations have been taken down across campus. In response to this inappropriate behavior, the Dean of Students Office is providing you with an opportunity to stand in solidarity with the allies and LGBT staff, faculty and students on our campus.  Each of you may post a get involved poster, which expresses support for the LGBT community at UNI and calls out the bad behavior of a few in our community.  This is our chance to communicate that we are an open, supportive campus that does not condone acts of hatred and intolerance.  If you request a poster, you will receive a color poster on card stock.
