  1. You will not be allowed to use computer labs unless you are accompanied by an instructor.
  2. You are not allowed to bring food, candy, or beverages of any kind into the computer lab or library.
  3. You will not be provided with an individual email account through the district, but you may access your personal email account if you have one. Spending more than 10 minutes reading and sending email will be considered wasteful of computer resources and you may be asked to leave the lab or library.
  4. Students should not be using email during class time unless it is an assignment.
  5. The following behaviors are listed in the Hudson School District's Acceptable Use Policy and are not permitted.
    1. sending or displaying offensive messages or pictures
    2. using obscene language
    3. harassing, insulting, or attacking others
    4. damaging computers, computer systems, or computer networks
    5. violating copyright laws
    6. trespassing in others' folders, work, or files
    7. intentionally wasting limited resources (e.g., advertising, posting resumes)
    8. employing the network for commercial purposes (e.g. downloading files, using a disk from home)
    9. real-time conference features such as chat rooms without teacher supervision and approval
    10. accessing services with costs involved
    11. illegal activities
    Additional rules from the teacher
    1. Students are to load into memory and use only the software that is assigned for use in the class. Specific software should only be in use when engaged in an assignment for the class.
    2. Students are not to use the Internet unless approved by the teacher. Students are to use only the sites specified by the teacher when using the Internet.
    3. Students are not to change any of the settings or organization of files on computers.
