Grafft and Christine (Byerly) Grafft who came from OH to IA in the 1840's; John Henry married Amanda Jane Gilmore, daughter of George and Amanda Gilmore, natives of OH, married in IA; Seven children of John Henry and Amanda Jane: William Edward, Essa May (wife of first husband Howard Miller), Francis Delbert (killed ae 30 by a horse), Stacy Clyde (living in South Dakota), Bertha Perl (married Raleigh Shoop), and Clarence Ray and Jessie History of Jones County, Iowa, Past and Present, R. (Central City), John Henry, Mary Katherine (married Frank Blayney of Jackson Twp.), Martha Ann (married Louis Porter of Cherokee Co, IA, James Albert (lived in California), David Edward (lived in Lyon Co., IA), Della Jane (married Robert McMurn of Cherokee Co), Frank (living in Rome Twp Jones Co), and Elizabeth Ellen (married William Lust, Cherokee Co.).
