- Program Report, Fiscal Year 1998
Our activities in the nascent program on Technological Literacy have received
a boost with the receipt of grants that will allow us to initiate activities
aimed at improving technological literacy, particularly among K-12
students.
- Education, Engineering Practice, and the Engineering Workforce
Activities in this area focus on the skills and knowledge that both engineers
and the broader informed citizenry need to address complex technical and
social issues in a rapidly changing world. Areas of examination include the
evolving nature of engineering education, the diversity of the engineering
workforce, technological literacy, and programs to examine emerging
technologies that will shape the future of engineering.
