Unit 3: Presentation Plan Guidelines

A "Presentation Drawing" is used to show a client or other groups the overall scope and appearance of a project prior to approval and before detailed plans are prepared. The following items, symbols and views should be shown on a basic "Presentation Drawing":

    1. window and door symbols
    2. cabinetry in kitchen and baths
    3. appliances and plumbing fixtures
    4. room labels (3/16" letters) and view label (1/4" letters)
    5. furnace, water heater and fireplace
    6. stairways with direction arrow
    7. furniture (optional)

    1. type of siding and trim
    2. type of roofing and chimney
    3. style of windows and shutters
    4. type of masonry materials
    5. ground and horizon lines
    6. floor, ceiling and ridge line heights
    7. landscape and shading (optional) h. view label (1/4" letters)
    8. roof pitch symbols
  3. Title Information that includes:
    1. Client's name (3/8" letters) and address (3/16" letters)
    2. Designer's name (1/4" letters) and address (1/8" letters)
    3. Scales and date (1/8" letters)
