DIVISION SHEET FOR UNIT 3 -----Technical Drawing for Architecture requires a notebook be submitted to calculate a portion of your grade. Each unit in the course is seperated in the notebook by a Division Sheet. -----Division Sheets are created using one of these two programs: ArchiCAD or Appleworks. -----Both programs require that you follw directions carefully and print your finished product for grading. Depending on the complexity of these assignemnts, Division Sheets will be graded on a 25 or 50 point basis. DIVISION SHEET #3 This Division Sheet will be used to expose you to architectural renderings. Using the internet you will search architectural sites to find a suitable graphic for the division sheet. Use Appleworks to complete this assignment CLICK IMAGED FOR ENLARGED VIEW Use Netscape to complete this assignment INSTRUCTIONS 1. Open your hard drive and locate the Appleworks folder. Double-click on the Appleworks icon and open the program 2. Begin with a new DRAWING Document and save it as Division Sheet #3. An intelligent student with properly saved files will utilize the older file from Division Sheet #2, and the Save as . . . command (File menu) to create a 'template' to use for this division sheet, and each one there after. 3. TITLE: PRESENTATION DRAWINGS. Use Palatino for a Font and use 48 point text to place the label centered on the top of the page. NOTE: Appleworks requires a 1/4" border that is not printed around the outside edge of the sheet 4. UNIT NUMBER: Use Palatino for a Font and use 36 point text to place the unit number in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. 5. NAME: Use Palatino for a Font and use 30 point text to place your name in the lower-left hand corner of the page. 6. Hide Appleworks (use the pull-down menu in the upper right hand corner of your screen) 7. Open your hard drive and locate the Netscape folder. Double-click on the Netscape icon and open the program 8. Begin a search for architectural renderings using whatever search engine or means you choose. Locate a suitable image to add to your division sheet. Images should be large enough to cover the designated area of the page (see sample) NOTE: BOOKMARK (Open Apple-D) THE PAGE. YOU WILL HAVE TO LIST YOUR SOURCE ON THE DIVISION SHEET BEFORE PRINTING AND SUBMITTING 9. Copy the image from Netscape. ---------------Place your mouse over the image and hold the button down until the menu appears. Select Copy this image 10. Hide Netscape (use the pull-down menu in the upper right hand corner of your screen) 11. Paste the image into your Appleworks drawing (Open Apple-V) or use the Edit pull-down menu 12. Resize the image in Appleworks. ---------------Click on the image using the black arrow in the tool palette ---------------Pull from one corner to resize. NOTE: HOLD DOWN ---------------THE SHIFT BUTTON ON YOUR KEYBOARD TO ---------------KEEP THE IMAGE PROPORTIONALLY CORRECT 13. SOURCE: Use Palatino for a Font and use 12 point text to give credit to the artist or architect you selected the image from. Add the web address to the text and center it below the rendering you pasted into the page. 14. Print the Division Sheet 8 1/2" x 11" paper using the color printer and submit for grading
