Notebook Division Sheet

DIVISION SHEET FOR UNIT 2 -----Technical Drawing for Architecture requires a notebook be submitted to calculate a portion of your grade. Each unit in the course is seperated in the notebook by a Division Sheet. -----Division Sheets are created using one of these two programs: ArchiCAD or Appleworks. -----Both programs require that you follw directions carefully and print your finished product for grading. Depending on the complexity of these assignemnts, Division Sheets will be graded on a 25 or 50 point basis. DIVISION SHEET #2 This Division Sheet will simulate the concept of space planning using grids and specified shapes to reflect square footage on your floor plans. Use Appleworks to complete this assignment CLICK IMAGED FOR ENLARGED VIEW INSTRUCTIONS 1. Open your hard drive and locate the Appleworks folder. Double-click on the Appleworks icon and open the program 2. Begin with a new DRAWING Document and save it as Division Sheet #2 3. TITLE: RESIDENTIAL PLANNING. Use Palatino for a Font and use 48 point text to place the label centered on the top of the page. NOTE: Appleworks requires a 1/4" border that is not printed around the outside edge of the sheet 4. UNIT NUMBER: Use Palatino for a Font and use 36 point text to place the unit number in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. 5. NAME: Use Palatino for a Font and use 30 point text to place your name in the lower-left hand corner of the page. 6. Using the drawing tools place several scale sized "rooms" onto the sheet similar to the sample shown above. Use the following color codes to finish the details of the sheet: ---- LIVING AREA --------------- SLEEPING AREA --------------- SERVICE AREA --------------- TRAFFIC AREA --------GREEN --------------------------- BLUE------------------------------- RED ----------------------------- WHITE <---------- Use the Square tool <---------- and the Fill tool 7. Print the Division Sheet 8 1/2" x 11" paper using the color printer and submit for grading
