After completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Recognize the features of major traditional and contemporary architectural styles
2. Demonstrate the proper techniques for hand sketching and lettering
3. Identify the architectural symbols used in a set of working drawings
4. Show proficiency in the use of a CAD system to create architectural drawings
5. Identify the types of elevations and sections used in architectural drawings
6. Use proper architectural dimensioning and labeling techniques
7. Create a limited set of working drawings for a residential building
8. Identify general roof types and characteristics
9. Differentiate between various types of windows used in buildings
10. Describe the principal types of doors used in buildings
11. Understand architectural schedules
