Michelle Ozmun (MO) was born and raised in west Texas. She graduated from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. She traveled with her Air Force husband and moved throughout the US where she danced with both professional and private dance companies in Oklahoma, California, Colorado, Texas and South Dakota. In 2002, Michelle graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas with a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Related Arts. She taught modern, jazz and body conditioning at Tarrant County College in Ft. Worth, and introduction to ballet and dance production at TWU. While in South Dakota, MO opened her own dance studio and developed her solo dance career as "Modus Operandi." In Oklahoma, she helped to found the Altus Community Theatre. In Texas, she was a company dancer with 3 - a modern dance company, was a featured dancer and guest artist with JAADE Dance Theatre, and immensely enjoyed dancing with David Dorfman Dance in his Athlete's Project. MO and her husband also enjoy leading Celtic music and dance sessions in Cedar Falls. MO is currently the director for Orchesis and Repertory Dance Theatre |
