Professor Lynch has over a decade of leadership experience directing U.S. Department Justice funded violence prevention programs. She has been the Project Director for over 2.5 million dollars in externally funded federal projects focused on creating safer campuses and schools in Iowa. Her work has resulted in the system wide revision of sexual misconduct policies, with model policies implemented in 2008 at UNI, ISU and UI. She was a 2007 recipient of the Iowa Board of Regents, Faculty Excellence award in part in recognition for her efforts. In 2006 she was given an honorable mention award for her “Outstanding Professional Contribution to Campus Violence Prevention” at the Violence Goes to College Conference in Boulder, Colorado. Her current scholarship focuses on the mainstreaming of pornography, with a particular focus on the impact of this trend on college campuses with a book on this topic due to be released in 2011.
