Assessment: The work on your island project will be assessed using the following criteria. You will earn points according to the level to which you work in each area listed below. Work hard, but enjoy your project. Learn as much as you can about your island and prepare your display to share this information in a neat and organized fashion.
Researching information

2 Researched information on your island from two sources
3 Researched information on your island from three sources
4 Researched information on your island from three or more sources that included printed materials and technology sources
Researching pertinent information
1. Some information was collected
2. Some of the information collected was relevant to the topic
3. The information collected was relevant to the topic and met the requirements
4. The information collected was relevant to the topic, met the requirements plus additional information and/or artifacts were included
Visual communication of information
1. Material is displayed
2. Display meets requirements of the assignment
3. Display meets requirements of the assignment, information is neatly displayed
4. Display meets requirements of the assignment, information is neatly displayed. It has a high degree of visual impact.
Verbal communication of information
1. Can answer some questions about the island studied
2. Can answer most questions on the required information about the island studied
3. Can answer all questions on the required information about the island studied
4. Can answer all questions on the required information about the island studied and add details and pertinent information when conversing about the island of study.
