A Project to Enhance theTechnological Preparation of EducatorsThe purpose of this site is to provide a resource for teachers and future teachers to explore their options for integrating technology and information literacy standards into their curriculum. Information literacy is the ability to access, process, and communicate information from a wide variety of formats in order to solve problems, make decisions, think critically, and create knowledge. These skills are best taught through student research and the collaborative teaching of the media specialist and the content specialist, or classroom teacher. Information processing models, such as the Big Six or Pathways to Knowledge, can guide students through the research process. |
