Why We Do It (continued)

We created the  Making Sense Family Resources because we believe families and military community support personnel are critically important at all stages of children’s education. We strive to empower parents and military community support personnel with resources to help them engage in their children’s learning. We especially seek to serve military families who are faced with the unique challenges of frequent relocations and deployments.

We believe parents and military community support personnel are critically important in their children’s education – first, by laying the ground work for formal education during preschool years, and later by augmenting and reinforcing classroom teaching and helping children make connections between school and “real-life” skills. We encourage the development of this educational engagement by providing SOAR educational resources, which helps to ease the challenging transitions of relocation and deployments.
