Making Sense After-School Resources
During the fall of 2011, we incorporated our new and exciting Making Sense After-School Resources into a number of after-school programs at U.S. military installations . These military installations are piloting five of our two-week supplementary mathematics and literacy units. The two-week units include ten 45-minute sessions for students in need of extra academic assistance after school. All units include high interest and relevant topics, hands-on activities, and a strong research-base to support student learning.
Supplementary curriculum units, include topics for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8, are aligned to both the Iowa Core Curriculum and the Common Core State Standards.
