Our Student Group - Textile and Apparel Association
Student Visit to Chicago in Fall 1999
The Textile and Apparel Association usually meets on Monday afternoons at 3:00 PM. Meeting notices are posted in Latham Hall. The student association serves the purpose of helping to organize non-curricular student activities, such as the student design show, career fair trips, and participation in campus activities such as the Homecoming Parade. Social activities also are also organized by the group such as bowling nights and roller skating nights.

Annually the students in the Textile and Apparel program organize a student design show. You can find summaries and photos of recent design shows in the Tapp News section of this website.

The design show is usually directed by two or three students, although they could not accomplish the task without the help of faculty and their classmates. Currently, the students formally apply to the faculty for the leadership positions. Review of applications and interviews occur before final selection. If you are interested in leading the TAPP Expo design show, it is suggested that you review Heather Homan's Handbook of Show Leadership.
