
Northern Iowa Family Services Organization
NIFSO is a student run organization on the University of Northern Iowa campus that promotes education about family life and family diversity, and facilitates networking between past, present, and future Family Services majors/minors and professionals.
Family Services is a profession focused on building strong families through education, intervention, prevention, and enrichment programs. Emphasis areas include children and youth, special needs, gerontology, non-profit organizational administration, and counseling.
The Family Services major/minor is offered through the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences in the School of Applied Human Sciences.
Activities include:
- Regular monthly meetings
- Volunteering in the community and on campus
- Sponsoring groups and speakers to campus
- FUN!
How do I become involved?
