Tibetan School Counseling Students in Grundy Center
Tibetan school counseling graduate students Dhondup and Dhundul Thokmey visited Grundy Center Schools Tuesday September 15, 2009. They spoke in Steve Hinderhofer's exploratory class focused on diversity and culture. Thokmey, who teaches Tibetan history, shared important information about history, geography, and culture in a power-point presentation. Dhondup, who teaches mathematics, played a traditional guitar and sang. Superintendent John Stevens was in attendance and both he and Mr. Hinderhofer received a white scarf which is a symbol of greeting in Tibet.
